My name is Derek Lawson, and I’m proud to call Jonesboro, Arkansas, home. Growing up in this community shaped who I am and instilled in me a strong appreciation for family, hard work, and serving the people around me.

Before becoming a home inspector, I had the opportunity to play football at Arkansas State University. Football taught me many lessons that I carry with me today — discipline, attention to detail, accountability, and the importance of doing things the right way.

In 2018, I began my career as a home inspector, and I’ve enjoyed helping homeowners and buyers better understand one of the biggest investments they will ever make. I take pride in being thorough, honest, and straightforward, with the goal of giving my clients the information they need to make confident decisions about their homes.

Outside of work, my greatest role is being a dad to my two kids, Tinsley and Kipp. When I’m not inspecting homes, you’ll most likely find me at a ball field or gym cheering them on. I enjoy watching them compete, supporting their goals, and making the most of the time we have together.

For me, being a home inspector is about more than inspecting houses. It’s about building relationships, serving my community, and treating every home and every client with the same care and attention I would want for my own family.
